Rod Gramer

(208) 287-0179

Rod joined IBE as President and CEO in 2014. Prior to this he spent 38 years working as a reporter, newspaper editor and television news executive. He worked for The Idaho Statesman for 14 years, serving as Political Editor and Editorial Page Editor and columnist. He spent 10 years as Executive News Director at KTVB, including moderating the Viewpoint public affairs program. He was also Executive News Director at the NBC station in Portland, Oregon and most recently served as Vice President and General Manager of Bay News 9, a 24-hour news station in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Rod is the author of two books: “Fighting the Odds: The Life of Senator Frank Church,” which he wrote with Historian LeRoy Ashby, and a novel, “The Good Assassin.”
Rod is an Idaho native. He graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in Journalism and History. He and his wife, Julie, have been married for 39 years. She is a marriage and family therapist in Boise. They have two adult children, Jennifer, who is working on her doctorate at the University of Wisconsin, and Robert, who is an associate director of the Atlantic Council in Washington, D.C.

Hollis Brookover

(208) 287-0177

Hollis joined IBE in January of 2014. She grew up in Boise and graduated from Smith College in 1982 with a BA in Government. Her early career was spent working in campaigns, public affairs and fundraising in the US and overseas.

Before joining IBE, Hollis spent 10 years in child advocacy as a founder of Idaho Voices for Children (IVC). While she was there, IVC made huge strides in educating the public about the pressing needs of our youngest citizens. They also helped pass some groundbreaking legislation to both protect and enhance the lives of at-risk kids.

At the same time, Hollis was also a business entrepreneur in the beauty products industry and is now an owner of Mariposa Labs, a private-label manufacturing company. She lives in Boise with her husband Milt Gillespie and son Samuel Gillespie.

Pamela Burns

(208) 287-0178

Pamela joined the IBE team in February of 2015.  She has worked as an administrator for non-profit groups for the last 10 years, and enjoys working toward a common goal of helping others.  Before that, Pamela worked as an administrator in the financial planning arena, as well as being a licensed Realtor in the state of Idaho.

Pamela received a BA in English Literature and Technical Writing at Idaho State University, has worked as a Technical Editor, and is a published author.  In her free time, Pamela enjoys spending time with her family (husband Joel, son Bobby and daughter Sierra) in the beautiful Idaho outdoors, travelling overseas, and reading anything she can get her hands on.
